About me

I am a Registered Member of the BACP and hold a Masters (Level 7) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience working with a broad range of issues.

My background includes supporting people with a variety of needs and experiences, with a particular focus on working with people who have experienced trauma and those that services typically find hard to reach.

I have worked in family support, child protection, homelessness, alternative education and housing services and have led relational and trauma informed services for children, young people and adults who have been in care and custody and with children at risk of exclusion from school.

The thread that weaves my experiences together is a commitment to fostering growth and a deeply held belief that we all have the capacity to navigate the challenges and difficulties that hold us back and cause us pain and suffering.

Healing in connection

I believe that whilst our connections with others can be the source of our greatest difficulties I know from personal experience and from witnessing it in others that they can also offer transformative potential for healing.

My work is grounded in the idea that our connections with others are vital for our growth and wellbeing, and this is supported by both evolutionary theory and neurobiological evidence.

I have a sense that the connections we have with our environment, the world around us and our communities have a profound impact on our wellbeing.

In my work with you I will invite a sense of curiosity about how these factors might have shaped your experience and will support you to consider what resources they might offer to aid your wellbeing.
